05 – Forth Defences 1902

To protect the developing naval base at Rosyth, the existing gun batteries on Inchkeith and at Kinghorn were supplemented by a defensive minefield controlled from Port Laing and covered by gun batteries and search lights at North Queensferry, Inchgarvie and Dalmeny.
