Art Exhibition
Posted on September 9th, 2018
The West Fife Open Doors is on Sunday 16th September this year and we are organising an art exhibition at the railway station.
If you would like to take part in this exhibition please Garry know (email above) – he will curate the exhibition & in lieu of space, we would ask for 20% of any sale.
If you are entering any of the art or photography classes at the show, then why not join in & show off your latest creations.
We are planning to have tea/coffee & cake, should you wish to visit the exhibition.
Village Show 2018
Posted on September 1st, 2018
The Village Show 2018 is on Saturday 8th September, starting at 2pm.
We will have all our regular competitions, local group displays, prize giving, an auction as well as contributions from the school and a defibrillator display.
As we do every year, we are asking for baking donations for the tea & coffee stall and our cakes table, it all needs to be home made.
If you can bake something we would be very appreciative. The hall will be open for donations in the morning while we set up.
Web-site demo
One of the stands will feature a demo of this web-site projected on to a big screen – in particular the history of the village through maps.
If you identify a point of interest in the village, the operator will locate this on a satellite view of the village, zoom in or out, and then show the same view on a range of OS maps ranging from 1856 to the present day, to see how the location has changed over time.
