20 – Forth Defences in 1918
By 1918 the Forth defences were extended to provide the base for the entire Grand Fleet – Battle Ships, Battle Cruisers and Destroyers – all inder the command of Admiral Beatty.
A fuel line was laid from the Clyde to supply the destroyers at Port Edgar.
