Infantry
As well as Gun Crews for the Carlingnose, Coastguard and Inchgarvie batteries and the Royal Engineers who operated the Defence Lights (searchlights) at the Coastguard Battery and on Inchgarvie, Infantry were deployed from Carlingnose Barracks to defend the various installations, including the Wireless Station at Castland Hill.
